Saam met Paulus kan ons uitroep: Verbly julle altyd in die Here; ek herhaal: Verbly julle! Laat julle vriendelikheid [sagmoedigheid/geduld] aan alle mense bekend word. Die Here is naby. Wees oor niks besorg nie, maar laat julle begeertes in alles deur gebed en smeking met danksegging bekend word by God. En die vrede van God, wat alle verstand te bowe gaan, sal julle harte en julle sinne bewaar in Christus Jesus. Filippense 4:4-7 (AV 1953) indien ons nie hierdie vriendelikheid teenoor jou openbaar nie, herinner ons asseblief aan die opdrag.  As jy met jou ‘vriendelikheid’ sukkel, onthou, egte vriendelikheid [sagmoedigheid/geduld] is nie natuurlik en kan nie aangeleer word nie, dit kom van Jesus Christus, dit is slegs in Hom -  waar ons dit dan ook gedurigdeur moet gaan haal... Mag die vrede van God, wat alle verstand te bowe gaan, met jou wees in Christus Jesus, Hester en personeel Hallo, I am  Hester van der Walt, Together with Gabriel, Patricia, Nadene and Michelle I dedicate this practice to our saviour, Jesus Christ. Together with Paul we proclaim: Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness [gentleness/patience] be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:4-7 (ESV 2001) where we fail to live up to the above reasonableness kindly remind us of the quoted instruction. If you happen to struggle with your ‘reasonableness’ remember that true gentleness/patience is not natural to man, it can only be acquired through Jesus Christ, it has its origin in Him - were all of us have to obtain it constantly...
